Down on Beale Street

I'vea actually never physically resided in Memphis, but grew up an hour outside of Memphis. Memphis was always the big city we would travel to for big entertainment events, concerts, Liberty Land, Basketball games, restuarants, etc.... Many times I remember my Dad driving to Memphis to meet up with his best friend Mike Tally and we would always eat at Popeyes chicken. Not sure why we never went to KFC, now that I think about. Personally, I prefer KFC over Popeyes. I like a little more grease in my food and Popeyes chicken seems to be a little on dry side to me, but I guess you get more bang for the buck at Popeyes, but I digress. Growing up I always imagined myself moving back to the South and working in Memphis and doing a daily commute between Memphis and Oxford. Eventually, I'll get back down South and Memphis will be my relaxation city. I'll be a season ticket holder for the Memphis Grizzlies and catch games on the weekends with my Uncles. Then grab some late night dinners on Beale street before heading back to the farm. Regular visits to Memphis will apart of my normal routine for shopping and entertainment. And of course I'll catch some college games with the Memphis State Tigers, basketball, football, baseball, softball and volleyball. But I imagine for college games, I'll support more Ole Miss games than the Tigers. Who know's may I can purchase a cheap rental property in South Memphis and turn it into an Airbnb to have a permanent place on the weekends. We'll be headed to back soon. It won't be long until I'm laid back cruising up I-55 to Blue's Town.
