The High Life

My adult life begin with me moving to Denver after my college graduation. Denver was my first home after leaving the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign and my first job in Denver was making glass window frames in North Parkhill Denver after graduating as a computer engineer. Ironically my first job was in Parkhill and 4 years later, we purchased our first home in Parkhill in 2008. The economy was still in crisis mode after the Bush recession and we got a good deal on an old brick house located about 30 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes downtown. It was in the perfect location to get to any party in Denver in 15 minutes and 5 minutes away from my favorite place, Denver's City Park. I can spend half the morning walking through the park to get my daily exercise and outdoor activity. Usually I'll do a quick power walk and then sit and meditate in the early morning calm. Denver is the home where I raised my two beautiful adult daughters. They started out in the Aurora middle school and grade school system and then transitioned to Denver Public schools and on to Denver Metro college. For any parents out there looking for affordable colleges with a good location check out Denver Metro Colleges. They have 4 year and 2 year options at reasonable prices, and they have small class sizes for kids to get the needed attention to succeed. There are to many beautiful places in Denver eleborate on but my other favorite place is to visit is Este's Park cabin's for the weekend. Este's allows me to get away from cellphones and relax in the remote Colorado. I sometimes walk the mountain trails or take horseback rides through the backcountry. The mountain outdoors reminds me of my Mississippi home and allows me to rejuventate with some country living. So check out Este's park or Winter park to see Colorado's mountain beauty and escape for a while.
